Designed around the sun's path, this custom Elegance Range home is oriented north to make the most of the natural light, sitting under a single skillion roof angled to welcome the low winter sun and shade the high summer sun. A large eave overhang shades the northern glazing through summer, while a dedicated sun study shaped the placement of the highlight windows that flood the raked family and dining ceiling with light. Brick thermal mass walls to the south and west store the day's warmth, and a considered 207m² layout spans three bedrooms plus a study, with tiled flooring carrying through the entry, kitchen, pantry, dining and bedrooms for year-round comfort.
